I was surprised at how small the package was for the size ordered but it was vacuum packed and as soon as I took it out and shook it the rug came alive. I'm soft pink (no pun intended) it's so soft and I love that it's not a soft pink which I didn't want but more of a soft purple with lighter and darker areas that blends in perfectly with my bedding, eh in winter and summer. So soft and fluffy and I know 3 x 5 feet doesn't seem like much but it's huge and perfect for my bed. Oh, and it's very well made with piping around the edge and not flimsy at all. Although my bedroom has a rug, it will be nice to step on a soft and silky rug next to my bed. I don't know how it will wash, but I don't think I'll have to do it often, if ever. I'm sure a good shake and air on the line will do the trick. I suspect my kittens will love it too. I am very satisfied with such a good quality for this price!
