I bought this product hoping to bring home fluffy babies. We are working on setting up the house before they arrive. We received this product on Friday and put it in the room with our cat gin and tray. Since then, the space has remained untouched and unused. Today I rearranged a few things and tried to rearrange this rug. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE. When I opened the package on Friday I noticed the rug had some stickiness on the back but nothing like a regular rug. When I tried to clean the carpet today - Wednesday - I mean remove the carpet from the floor it left little residue. I nervously tried to remove the mat from each corner to avoid straining my back when starting, but I just couldn't avoid the inevitable. Several large pieces came loose and I can now see the textured material on the top of the mat through the largest piece on the back. Maybe I didn't see a warning to avoid hardwood surfaces? The rug is certainly cute and looks great in the room, but I would NOT recommend laying it on a hardwood floor. Please note: the room in which this rug has been laid is free from heavy traffic and out of direct sunlight.
