Review on πŸ”ͺ KAI Pure Komachi 2 3.5 Inch Green Paring Knife - Enhanced SEO by Robert Toomey

Sharp but could be better

This little knife is really nice and sharp. The aesthetics of a product are just as important to me as its function and I have to say that this knife gets a lot of points for its good looks. It's a nice light color so I can find it everywhere (believe me I kind of threw the baby out of the tub with it). I don't think I'll ever throw it in the trash. With that in mind I really think it could have had a better design. It's a bit big and not well balanced. I can't grip it like a regular paring knife. I feel like I'm going to cut myself. It slipped out of my hand several times and landed on my arm. I already have two cuts and use them almost every day as I cut fruit for juicing and also for packing lunches so I wouldn't say it's an overcut. I would like to see a more slip resistant grip with a little more balance and a little less to be able to curve nicely along round fruit. Part of the fact that I'm a bit shorter may be because my hands are very small. My husband says it works perfectly for him and he has much bigger hands than me. Perhaps from this review you should understand that the versatility of a knife can depend on the size of your hand. But overall great value for money. There can't be a better price and excellent quality in terms of sharpness and optics. It comes with a small plastic lid so you don't have to worry about sticking your hand in the knife box and cutting your fingers. I would buy it again even though I know it's a bit big for my hand.
