It really works! It's worth it! When I ordered this I counted pretty low. There were a lot of less than great reviews, so I prepared. To be honest it's not perfect but it will do the job! I haven't spent much time installing this and I still have a lot of rolls left if I want to redo the install with more care. My cuts are where I would spend more time next time. Take the time to take accurate measurements with clean edges for the best end result. I washed the windows I wanted to close, sprayed them with lots of water and cleaned everything with a squeegee. Tip: I found it took a lot less squeegee work on my second panel because I put a small strip in place and then slowly let the rest of the panel stick to the window. It's like cling film in the sense that she just wanted to stick it right on the window. If allowed, there were many large and small bubbles everywhere. Laying it down slowly only left little blisters around the edges to exercise. I didn't buy a special instillation set for it. A shower squeegee and a small spray bottle from an old travel cleaner. It took me less than 15 minutes to bury two small sections. It seems to me that the negative reviews are related to the inability to properly install the product. Are you good at drawing or assembling Ikea furniture? If yes, then you will probably be very happy with it. If you don't like a detail-oriented project, you can bribe someone to help you with it.
