This chair makes a very stable impression. It's also very soft and the pillow is nice and thick. Assembly took about 5 minutes and holds all family members without any problems. (Not all at once. LOL). It is not designed to support your back. So if you need a supportive chair, don't buy it. But if you don't care, it's great for the bedroom or home office. The color choice is unbeatable. * Edited to add the crossbar is attached. I just think the instructions aren't crystal clear on how. This provides extra support for the seat and will only take you a few extra minutes to figure it out. I recommend adding. (It goes front to back, not side to side.)
