Not rectangular suitable for hand sanding Products

I ordered this item for a project to apply vinyl labels to a panel and they need to be even and consistent. I have a few traditional squares but the cross is getting in the way of my work so the Laser T-Square is perfect for helping me keep my labels flat and level so nothing gets in my way. The package arrived and everything was fine. intact. The unit seemed to work - clip it over the edge of the board and the laser would turn on automatically and shine along the board and it was quite bright. Can be hard to see from the outside in bright sunlight but pretty good for the price. This is exactly what I needed. Just not square. It is labeled "t-square". For a T-square, place the short side of the square on a straight edge on a piece of wood, drywall, or a drafting table, and the long side of the T-square will show you a perpendicular (90 degree) line. ) to the edge. boards, etc. I suspected this thing wasn't exactly square, thanks only to my well-calibrated eyeball, so I attached it to the edge of a real T-square, and the light started at the center of the long piece of the square, but at the other At the end - at a distance of 48 inches - it was deflected more than 1/2 inch. I checked my large T-square for several items in my shop that I am sure are square and my T-square confirmed that the item was not square at all. Can't use it like that. Looks like I'll return it and find something locally that's twice the price that I can actually use. Damn.
