They are definitely *NOT* durable. These are average loads at best. You can eat fruit salad, green salad, potato salad, sliced hot dog, just fine. You might not be able to eat a hamburger with them without risking breaking them (especially if you're not careful), and you definitely can't cut anything harder than a hot dog. Spoons are great for eating ice cream (NOT for serving!). Length - I can't find anything wrong with it, but I think they're more appropriate for a kid's birthday party because kids are less aggressive/strong with utensils than a grown man cooking a steak. :-) We'll get them right - and for the cost if we use 2 here and there it's still worth it.
