If you prefer the warm, romantic glow of classic incandescent bulbs, get them as close to LED as you can get. The trick is that you have to mix them with incandescent bulbs, no more than 1/3 LED and you won't even notice the difference. The reason I use them is because I like to add a bit of activity to my lights without looking like I'm trying to land a plane or throwing a fit. They have two nice smooth fade modes that speak for themselves. They do NOT look pastel like the photo and the fancy transparent wires disappear once all the decorations are assembled. I've been buying them for many years and they have never let me down. Highly recommended. Warning: In mass use they have a cheap cold LED glow, like a Hong Kong street market.
