Initially very happy with this knife. Without a doubt, it will provide quality cutting in my kitchen. Whether it will hold the blade well and grind easily remains to be seen. I'll update this review once I see how well it performs over the long term. As for his looks, I'm a fan of his. The handle has a distinct wood look, the shape of which perfectly matches the shape of the blade. It looks chic and well put together. The forged top edge of the blade looks cool, but I'm not sure that adds much to the knife. I've sharpened it twice and both times it was easy and seemed to hold an edge well. I'm not sure if it has enough carbon to be considered truly long-lived. But if it's easy to sharpen after a few hits, that's fine with me. All in all a good knife at a fair price.
