I bought this to replace my DMP-BDT220 which was either hiding in my couch cushions or fell into a garbage bag or otherwise into a large lost remote bunker in the sky. I didn't test every button on the replacement (I didn't test every button on the original, by the way), and for basic DVD/Blu-Ray operations everything worked out of the box. The reason I removed the star is because my battery cover is a little loose. It holds steady with normal raising and lowering, but if I throw it on a sofa or accidentally drop it on a rug, the battery door will most likely fall off and the batteries will fall out. For the price, though, it's a minor annoyance I'd be willing to put up with compared to the more expensive official Panasonic remote, and it's not an issue that can't be fixed with a few strips of duct tape.
