Review on πŸ”Œ BATIGE USB 3.0 & 2 RCA Male to 3.5mm Car Mount Flush Cable - 3ft by Greg Wilkerson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty functional, but not an ideal design.

This works great as advertised, if you connect RCA cables to the source, the AUX input connector works for music input. When you connect the USB cable to your stereo, the USB port will work in tandem with the music input and provide power to the device (assuming your stereo has power). If your stereo doesn't have USB inputs, you can connect it to a power adapter for charging. The materials are durable and don't feel cheap. The nut on the back is well tightened and will remain secure from the moment of installation. In general, the main device, cable and connector appear to be of high quality. The flip cover and the AUX/USB ports could be improved. The USB port is very narrow and in one of my cars the upholstery trim comes off the dashboard when I unplug the cable: In my other car it is harder to unplug the cable than other USB ports. This has been the case with all cables I have tried. The hinged lid is very stiff and can also push the trim away from the dashboard when opened. I've been working with the material in my hands for a while and the flexibility of the hinge has improved a bit, but it's still very firm to open. It's not the end of the world, but it's MANDATORY to install a plug so the face sits flush. Omitting it will create a gap between the standard 12V connection hole on the panel and the front of this unit. I would like an extra ring in it, like the base of the lid, without the lid. I could (and probably will) carefully cut the cap off the base and use the ring as a spacer, but it would be nice to have that option in the box. Given the low price, I was happy with the material and quality. The USB port worries me a little and I hope it doesn't fail later due to the fit, but after a while of fitting I'm happy with the product. This is an easy way to add AUX and USB to your car if you have the right stereo system.
