Renovation 2020: Bathtub Faucets and Showerheads

I've learned so much from reading reviews so I want to add my experience of a recent bathroom remodel. From what I've learned, everything behind the wall, a major b/c part failure will cost you a lot of money, time and headaches. Therefore, the valve is very important! There are a lot of whole sets here that include a diverter rough, shower head, mount, handheld, etc. for less than $300, but there are comments about the valve and switch leaking, so I decided to put together my own set! I chose MultiChoice® Universal. Rough Built-in Shower Switch with Universal Inputs and Outputs - MODEL #: R22000 I found it to work flawlessly. Only time will tell if it will be phased out or not but I like its chance compared to a cheaper set! There are several styles that can be used with this crude faucet, but I settled on the Trinsic Series 17 Pressure Balanced Valve with built in flow regulator and 6 function faucet for three shower applications Model: T27959-BL Although I only have two showers, the hand shower is to the right of the valve and I would like to have a knob on the hand shower. Showers can be of any brand because they are external and easy to replace. If they leak every two years, the replacement cost is still less than the cost that local restoration gave me for the shower head. For the shower head, I chose the 8" KES Swivel Shower Head. , J203S8-BK. It works great! Water flows smoothly without splashing. For the hand shower, I chose the KES Bar with hand shower. Hand shower hose holder. Adjustable 5 -fold massage jet. It has a different height and twist adjustment, the hand shower is high quality but the spiral hose is plastic but that doesn't bother me, makes sense to me because. I don't think the shower arm hit the tiles hard will, i originally ordered a straight arm but the plumber set the standard height but i want to accommodate a tall person so i chose the shape, i chose HANEBATH S brass shower head shape and flange, matte black, also chrome or brushed nickel or oiled bronze to choose from and it works great! For the wall to portable connection you need a shower elbow, ic h chose 1/2. NPT Round Wall Union in matte black due to the design I spent about $560 total compared to about $2000 although I could go for a cheaper whole set (about $300) which I think minimizes the risk of going through the wall lick that helps those who do research :) good luck to you all!
