Review on ๐Ÿพ Cork Screw Dog Tie Out Stake by Dogit - Enhances Safety and Security, 18" Large Cork Screw Design by Jamie Yurcaba

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked great for a dog screed and then repurposed!

My wife and I have been using this tie for weeks while I was planning and saving for 400 feet of chain link fence to install in our newly built home. Many people have trouble getting it into the ground and staying, which obviously depends on when it rained last, "just screwing it into the ground" if you try to screw it into the ground, where it hasn't rained a few days in a year. It probably won't screw in the summer. When I was building the fence, my wife bought about a hundred lightbulbs at a sale in Laws. After planting them with a shovel for about a day, she asked me for help. I didn't feel like digging a few holes in the flower garden at all. I figured it would be nice to have a small drill bit for a drill press but didn't want to spend the money to buy one. Then I creatively took out this dog tie and cut off the triangle and ring, took a grinder and cut it about 1 inch below the ring. Then I made a triangular ridge on it "to make the chuck hold better" and BAM, she started drilling holes for her lightbulbs. She probably dug 40 holes with that dog harness and is still working. I'm not sure how people bend these things. My garden is the rockiest garden I've ever dug and I'm still bending it. I sharpen the tip every 20 or 30 onions and I'm done.
