Review on 🎨 Prismacolor Set: Enhance Your Creativity with 24-Colors Nupastels - Pack of 1" by Carrie Spencer

Non chalking, smooth, beautiful color

I enter art contests on Facebook based on votes. I noticed that when I went back and looked back, they tended to switch between art mediums. First I competed in each medium (I used colored pencil), then in ink (luckily I had Pigma Micron pens). Two other things they have used in competitions so far have been pastels and watercolors. That put me in a difficult position. I asked a few other artist friends if they use one of the cheaper pastels and none of those I asked have used them and one person suggested this one. A few days later, Revain notified me of urgent business at a very good price. I'd like a bigger set to start with (although 24 is better than 12), but I hope I have enough to create something for the next contest. I was able to study the eyes quite well by experimenting with Conte crayons and Prussian blue. I haven't used pastels in over 30 years and the ones I had were chalk pastels I bought for school kids from one of those Christmas artists. puts. Touching such a pastel makes me cringe - it feels chalky. These pastels are NOT exactly like the PrismaColor Premier ArtSticks - if anything, they are a little creamier. There is some dust that comes off when you run them over the paper but not crumbly etc. I was surprised when I saw the instructions that said they can be used with water. I can't wait to continue playing with them and maybe even venturing more into mixed media (I started learning how to draw really well with colored pencils; the one I've used most when creating visual art, was heavy acrylic paint modifiers, etc.).
