Review on ๐Ÿšฟ Introducing the SmarterFresh Luxury Handheld Bidet Sprayer for Toilet: Ultimate Control, Quality, and Stainless Steel Shattaf by Jonathan Jensen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The spray valve is the weakest link - puddles are waiting in the wings.

Like most Revain users, you do your homework, read reviews and compare products. This one seemed like a top contender and I really wanted it to work. Firstly, the packaging of the product is great - the presentation looks professional and you get the immediate impression that this is a really high quality product. The pros are here. When I took all the parts out of the box, I was even more impressed. All parts feel solid, heavy and again it feels like quality materials and craftsmanship were used in the making of the product. Plus here. Assembly was easy and the instructions are clear. I had to run to the store to buy flexible braided hose to connect to the water supply as the PVC reinforced hose I had was flexible but not enough to make it work. Again, the main benefits are clear instructions and a kit that includes everything you need for installation. Even the screws for the bracket were literally perfectly long, giving a lasting impression of a 'quality product'. -Valve. This was not decisive for me and seemed reasonably reasonable - there is no drainage system and constant pressure - in such a situation it is always better to close the valve. Unfortunately, despite the understanding that I would need to turn the valve on and off before/after each use, this product failed at its weakest point: the internal valve of the atomizer head. I use this as a manual bidet and the general process for this use case is: 1. turn on the faucet 2. spray on your bum 3. put the sprayer back on the holder 4. wipe off your bum 5. flush6. Turn off the T-valve While some will argue that you should turn off the valve in step 4, I think it's reasonable to assume that the sprayer won't give you any trouble if you delay the shutdown process until you're done with yours are business. . Especially if the initial spray wasn't enough (TMI, I know). Anyway, what happened after step 3 above is that the atomizer kept dripping while it was in the holder (I didn't realize it) and when I got to step 6 I had a puddle next to the toilet. Obviously this shouldn't happen, either on first use or after a good year of use. Unfortunately, the product is generally of poor quality due to a weak valve/mechanism in the atomizer head. I've uploaded a video of the problem - as you can see at the very end, you can manually force the valve to 'seal' by pressing the trigger back button - but I don't have to fiddle with it at all to make it work . For $49 this thing should work just fine, but unfortunately it doesn't. The purpose of this "device" is to make going to the bathroom easier and more efficient. Fumbling with valves and puddles only made the job more problematic and inefficient. ***UPDATE*** After posting a review showing the issue, SmarterFresh Support left a comment in response to my review. I contacted them and they provided additional troubleshooting steps to fix a leaking atomizer head: 1. Unscrew and remove the atomizer head "cap". Using a screwdriver, turn the protruding screw counterclockwise about 1/2 to 1 turn.3. Test Sprayer - Each sprayer differs in the amount of adjustments required4. Screw the cap back onto the atomizer. Obviously this tightens the sealing mechanism of the atomizer head valve. After following these steps the sprayer is working great and I am very glad the issue has been resolved. While the product may be made in China, the customer service is definitely made in the USA. Feedback and support were immediate and the company does everything they can to keep customers happy.
