Review on 🔲 4x6 Heavy Duty Aluminium Pyramid Post Cap - Black (Works ONLY with Actual 4x6 Wood Posts) by Mark Tarnowski

We are finishing up a project for a porch and have had trouble finding good stud caps to put on our 6x6 studs. The plastic looks cheap and fades, and some available caps are stupidly expensive or made for a true 6x6 rather than the nominal 6x6 (which is actually 5.5x5.5). We decided to give it a try and I was very pleasantly surprised. They're strong, they look great and they match our poles (5.5 x 5.5) perfectly. They're a bit pricey, but so far I love them! They come with screws to attach them and they attach VERY securely without hesitation. A piece of advice for buyers: the screws aren't really sharp enough to drill them yourself, so pre-drill the holes. This also gives you the added benefit of making sure they line up with your posts, especially if the tops of your posts aren't level. Screwing one side will raise the opposite side, so it's best to position it exactly how you want it by pre-drilling (I used a 5/32" bit), and put the screws on both sides, then tighten them. Overall, I definitely recommend them!
