Inverter worked intermittently when it failed. After making sure my SUV didn't have any electrical issues, I attempted to test the connector. It was a free landing. So I bent the pieces of metal that stiffen the joint. I also noticed that the tip of the fork was flat. I unscrewed the conical body and tensioned the spring to ensure a strong connection. I double checked the solder on the wiring to see if there were any obvious imperfections. Seeing nothing, I tried to charge my netbook and phones. Success! So far it's worked like a champ.
