Review on 🔌 BOSCH VAC024 Adapter for Vacuum Hose by Ryuta Marantz

I know the ROS20VS is an older model but mine works great for my applications. Like others, I was disappointed by the sheer number of adapters. It took a while but my research led me to the conclusion that this adapter was what I needed. I can't comment on other brands or models of sanders but if you have a Bosch ROS20VS orbital sander this is a perfect fit. It takes a little time to install on the grinder's outlet, but not too much, and the tight fit means it won't come loose. The hose on my small vacuum cleaner has an inside diameter of 1.5125 inches. The outside diameter of the end of the adapter that connects to the vacuum hose is 1.5305 inches at the end of the adapter and continues to taper. The very slightly larger diameter of the working end of the adapter and its tapered shape allows me to fit the industrial vacuum hose onto the adapter even though it is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the industrial vacuum hose. I've used this a few times and have always been able to just slide/wiggle the hose onto the adapter and leave it on the whole time while it's running. Some people have noticed uneven rotation. Considering the hose is pretty well bonded to the adapter and the attachment of the adapter to the body of the grinder is also pretty well secured, I wasn't expecting any rotational movement at first; This is not a problem for me. My complaints about Bosch are: 1) The price of this adapter is a bit high for what it comes with. 2) The grinder came with a stupid spin-on dust collector cartridge that's practically useless. I think for the same money Bosch could supply this adapter instead of the useless little thing they gave me. Throw that thing away and grab that adapter. However, if you grind a lot, this adapter is worth the investment. I'm surprised at how little dust the grinder does NOT pick up now.
