The dimensions given are not accurate in any meaningful way: 4.88" is (approximately) the width of the handle and 3.2" H is the distance from the top of the rubber to the edge of the mount a horizontal position. There's about 1.5 inches of play in the grip, but it's a bit shy if you plan on threading a 2x4 through. The hard rubber grip doesn't rotate, so trim off the inside of the rubber a bit. can be easier than cutting down a tree. The mounting plate measures 5.5" x 1-5/8" and the 10-24 screws fit perfectly into the 5 mounting holes. The handle does NOT rotate exactly 90 degrees, it's a little short so if you plan to use it as a top handle keep that in mind. The mounting plate is about 0.1" thick. Drilling out a single rivet and replacing it with another machine screw will certainly increase the strength, but it may not be worth fiddling with the spring. All in all, this is a great pin. it's really meaty and pretty well made.Looks solid enough to use with no issues.However, note that the measurements given on the product page are not exact.
