It's my own fault. I didn't check thoroughly enough, neither the seller nor ANY of the reviewers I've read ever mentioned that this filter does NOT contain activated carbon filtration. I think I assumed that so many aquarists would be crazy about it. Why oh why did I think I got what I didn't pay for? Question: How can a filter without activated carbon clean the water in the aquarium? Were these reviewers all amateur aquarium owners? This would be fantastic for a turtle pond or anyone who just wants to add to the pond for aeration and a good cleaning - it has a powerful motor, moves a ton of water and is super quiet. . And once the aerator is connected, it produces an incredible amount of oxygen. But there is no truly pure water without carbon filtration. Do some reviewers also mention organic pearls? They are not here. I shared everything To return.
