Warning: Quality Control Issues

It's surprisingly rare to find a beautiful towel rail that sticks out 30cm from the wall like this Kohler. 12 inches really help keep these plush towels from falling off. Since there are 4 wall brackets, it is very strong and can withstand the weight and being pulled out of the wall. Almost all other towel rails only have 2 attachment points and less extension from the wall. However, it is problematic to get a hanger that is actually in good condition. I recently bought one from stock in "very good" condition and then bought another in brand new condition. Both had broken bars with a hanger bolt where it should have been connected. Apparently there was a quality control issue in production. I bought it a few months ago in "very good" condition, it was assembled neatly but one of the brackets was missing. I called Kohler and they said they couldn't give me or sell a mounting bracket, which seemed ridiculous. I was able to purchase a set of Kohler replacement anchors 1064696 N/A myself to complete the installation. The bottom line is that I bought 2 used and 1 brand new items and neither of them came out of the box. Two of them were broken and completely unusable. Another installed and works fine after I tracked down the missing bracket. Because of all this headache I will look elsewhere for the towel rails.
