Review on πŸ”„ Smith GF2054 Bearing - Revolutionizing the Century of Bearings by Andrew Agarwal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought this motor in early December to replace a similar one.

Purchased this motor in early December to replace a similar motor on a wood lathe. Physically, the engine turned without any problems and worked well. It has not been used much until today a bearing stuck in the motor. Warranty procedure initiated with Revain. Maybe it was just a dubious bearing. UPDATE – Revain answered this question GREATLY. The RMA process was initiated less than a day after the first email was sent. The replacement engine was delivered the next day (today). Many thanks to Revain for trying to resolve this issue quickly and easily. Because of this, as part of the process of returning the problematic motor to the RMA, I disassembled the motor from my lathe and found that what appeared to be a stuck bearing was basically due to the pulley being badly stuck in the motor housing. In the end, when I removed the jammed pulley from the shaft, I noticed that although the shaft REALLY rotated, it wasn't as free as it should be. The tightness is ACTUAL, so there might be another internal issue. just not the main problem. So I am reviewing my 2 star rating and changing it to a 5 star rating.
