I will post the following on each of the pages for these boxes. Information gathered from the Revain and Office Max websites for June and July 2015 to help determine what to buy. They are taxed in my state so the actual cost was a bit higher. I am so outraged that I have to pay good money for such boxes. They are not acid free. Their acidity carries over to any books, papers, or textiles stored inside, and the boxes age, weaken, and fail over time. They are full of recycled content. I firmly believe that if I am able to empty the boxes they will be classified as single use hazardous waste due to the BPA present in all recycled paper and cardboard. more. At least white boxes have the potential for slightly less acid in the white layer than kraft paper. And their edges and corners are easier to see in low light. (Oh how I HATE wood grain bank drawers with their misleading white stripes and black corners. And dark ink leaves permanent stains on clothing or skin when you make drawers and lids. And why are they cheaper than white with paint? - taped around the bottom , same brand and type?) 3. I would like them to be perforated if needed but not cut out the hand space. I never use handles as they tend to snap. Book covers or other paper can catch and tear on the edges of the cutouts if they are tilted and you are not very careful when straightening them.
