tries to please - Wallets, cardholders and money organizers

Conclusion: For what I spent on Lindenle, it's decent value for money but doesn't deliver what I personally expect from a money clip wallet. found out about this type of money clip wallet from a friend. I was shown an item resembling the style of the Lindenle. The main reason my friend was impressed was the RFID blocking which wasn't a bargain for me as I've been buying RFID blocking wallets and clips for myself and as gifts for others for a while now. Conceptually (metal case, stripes) what was shown to me was new. Back then, however, my instant judgment kept me from asking what I thought would be a clumsy block of aluminum (two plates fastened together) with a metal money clip that would damage my dress pants. Thing is, I wanted to replace a leather money clip/card holder that started out as impossibly narrow card slots that later became slots you could pull your card out of, so I had to ask questions. A few months later I got fed up with the feeling that I was about to lose the card from my leather money clip and started looking for alternatives. I found what I suspect everyone does, which is traditional leather money clips and aluminum or carbon fiber wallets (clip, external strap, or both). In terms of aluminum or carbon fiber types, there also seemed to be a large price gap between most items (lower price) and then a specific manufacturer in the top end. Since I'm a firm believer in not paying more than I need for something, I've focused on cheaper items. From the product reviews I clicked on, the most complaints I saw were scratched cards. I definitely didn't want anything that might scratch my cards, so I crossed out points with fairly credible reports of damaged cards. I also didn't give up the idea that the band would just have money, so I focused on items that have a clip. From there, I crossed out those that seemed to have credible testimonials that the RFID blocking wasn't working, as well as any items that should have been made out of carbon fiber (CF). I have crossed out CF articles because 1) aluminum is a well known blocking agent for RFID, not sure about CF and 2) I have seen many articles claiming to be high quality CF but claiming to be both expose counterfeit CF - plastic or resin. on a cheap fabric masquerading as CF, or CF that wasn't cut properly so it was peeling or tearing at the edges. As for the actual quality of an item in this category that has CF, I just didn't want to examine it. My experience with this article: Lindenle has some really good stuff. It doesn't scratch the cards, the machining on 2 of the 3 panels is clean and the aluminum doesn't bend unless subjected to anything other than normal use. It completely blocks the reading of RFID chips even if there are gaps in the plate. It also comes with an interchangeable strap, as well as a mini screwdriver and extra screws in case the strap needs to be replaced. However, in my opinion, Lindenle falls short in a few critical areas. The unclipped platter that the tape runs in is not enough to keep the tape in the center of the platter. Whether I'm taking out my card, inserting a card, or just walking around with my wallet in my pocket, the band slips out of the groove. There have been cases where when removing cards, the tape slipped very far out of the groove, causing the disk to fall out of the tape. I didn't drop the plate or the card, but I don't like it when I pull out a card and end up with a deck of cards in a hurry to scatter the whole floor. The problem for me is the money clip. While the spring steel is well formed so it won't grab into pockets and is easy to place bills underneath, it doesn't have enough compression, or maybe the clip and plate are too smooth to hold bills securely. In my experience, it takes 14 or more bills folded in half (I don't do double folds) to ensure the clip holds everything in place. Even with so many bills, they slide out from under the clip very easily. The last disadvantage concerns the outer plate that fixes the band. Not only is it slightly larger than the panel it screws onto, but it also has sharp edges. To be fair, if you have a decent stack of bills folded in half under the clip, this isn't a problem as the edges of the bills don't fall out of play. But with no bills on the plate, the edge is enough to reach into the inside of the suite's pocket on the way in.
