We put it on the outside of the phone case, so the magnet is very strong and holds well. Others may have problems with heavier phones if they put a metal disc behind the case. We're worried about the glue holding here in the summer. We have days that are over 100 degrees and in a car it can be over 150 degrees. :-( We'll have to see how well it holds up so far so far. The reason we gave 4 stars this time is because the built-in hinge doesn't really have much play. You really need to be careful where you put that Install the device.
