Cannot join open ends around a pipe
Cannot join open ends around a solid pipe, even with pliers that are starting to tear plastic. Since the ends of the ring cannot be hooked, it will detach from the pipe and the leak will not go away. Now using this screw clamp product around the outside of this long cement ring to see if it works, it still looks fine after two days. Quite an expensive product, and the white on the rings in the bag, obviously lying somewhere in the sun, began to turn yellow.
