I used these with a Bosch jigsaw to cut laminate counters after installation. They were of the post type and this made all the work of cutting the shells from above (without chipping at all) a lot easier. Prevents the counter from tipping over after cutting a large flush hole in the middle. Also, it's easier to mark it on the top. I used 3/4 thick plywood under the laminate board, so the total thickness where the holes were cut was 1-1/2 inches. The blades can work in a standard puzzle but I haven't tried them. I ordered factory finished HD countertops, straight sections of the counter only, and would recommend this approach if you only make countertops every 20 years or so.
