These hoses offer excellent compression. On the advice of other reviewers, I went up a size so it wasn't a problem to put on. The only weird thing is they might be too long for me (I'm 5ft 4in) so they're a bit longer on my thighs and the look smothers them haha. it's not bad, it's just annoying. I can say that at least the waist stays up so it doesn't get annoying to roll down. I'm a nurse and I'm a big believer in support stockings as I'm on my feet over 12 hours a shift.
