There is no rubber backing included so I'd recommend putting several layers of tape wherever you go. will install. Also, as you begin to tighten the screw, I would recommend that you squeeze and hold the two parts of the fastener together and use your other hand to tighten the screw. It seemed that as I let the bolt pull the parts together, there was a wild torque spread that honestly felt like the bolt might break. The lower mount also works fantastic, the Bontrager headlight mount installed with no problems.
