The height is only 62 inches, not 74 inches.
If you put a camera on it, the base is only 62 inches high. It's 65 inches when feet are together. The tallest I can make is 67.5 inches tall (64 inches with photo-ready legs) with phone holder. If you need something more legal, buy something else. However, for me it is high enough. It's "solid enough" as long as nothing happens for my $500 camera. The base is almost on top of a sharpening bolt, so I'd recommend putting something underneath if you're shooting in the garden or on gravel. The tripod is very cheap and the quality is better than the price, so I'm satisfied.
