Review on 🍷 X-Chef Luxury Silver Wing Corkscrew: Effortlessly Open Wine Bottles with this Easy-to-Use Wine Opener for Enthusiasts, Waiters, and Bartenders by Renee Hackbarth

*** TRUTH: Don't waste your money on this poor quality wine opener ***

Let's get down to business. This thing isn't even worth the $5 I bought it for. This is huge compared to other similar wine corkscrews. 1-1/2 times the size easily. The riveted handles are riveted unevenly, creating a very loose and sloppy feel in the hand. There's mention of a safety ring to keep the neck of the bottle from chipping, but it's just a piece of hard plastic. The descriptive name also mentions that it is made of stainless steel. However, if you read the fine print, you will see that it is a combination of Zinc Alloy and Stainless Steel, with Zinc Alloy being the DOMINANT material of the two. The absolute worst thing about this corkscrew is the spiral or screw that has to be screwed into the cork. Well, the design of this spiral or snail will only twist CLEANLY into the cork IF the cork is plastic. If the cork is actually made of CORK, it will shatter the cork completely, making a huge mess and, if not careful, forcing the person to put the cork in the bottle to open the wine. At this point, of course, you'll need to strain the wine as you pour it to prevent bits of cork or particles from getting into your glass. The best advice I can give is to stay away from this so-called wine opener, no matter how cheap it might be.
