I installed a Pioneer stereo in my MKIV VW Jetta and realized that VW needed a special wiring harness to switch off the stereo with the ignition. I bought this because I don't want to have to manually turn off the stereo every time I get out of the car. Installation was a bit tricky at first, but once you see how the cables are routed, it's pretty easy. After installation, I expected the stereo to turn off when the ignition is turned off, like the stock stereo, but it stays on until you lock the car. Although it's not a big problem. This suspension is worth the price for the work it has to do.
