This is a great sander that is great value for money. I saved thousands of dollars by not buying a new deck so that was a bargain too. I had a 40 year old Sears 3 x 21 inch belt sander that served me well for many years, but it began to break the sanding belts and move the belts sideways severely to the point that it was no longer useful. This sander hasn't broken a single strap and I've worn several of these without breaking. The unit is well designed and the engineers realized that the biggest enemy of a grinder doing this amount of work is getting the heat and dust out of the grinder as quickly as possible. He has a very serious fan. I didn't even try to use this little deck bag I made, first I connected it to my shop vacuum with an adapter I made myself. Then I realized that I didn't even need a vacuum cleaner, such a powerful stream of air from the grinder. So I just hooked up the vacuum hose to the 5 gallon bucket, running the hose through a rag sheet held in place on the top of the bucket by the rubber grommet that comes with the bucket lid. This saved me from unloading a heavy shop vacuum, I just periodically dumped a large amount of sawdust out of a bucket. Do not attempt to use this grinder without a dust collector. This is a serious, heavy, powerful tool, not for the faint of heart. If the motor's electric trigger is locked, you can quickly get into trouble if you don't hold on with good support. It would also be difficult to work on vertical or low surfaces since they are so heavy. I only went over the surfaces of my deck that were most worn and needed sanding. I then stained it with Home Depot Behr Opaque Water Washable Stain.
