Review on πŸ’ͺ Powerful and Reliable: Chicago Pneumatic CP7150K Air Hammer for Efficient Pneumatic Jobs by Patrick Reid

Powerful jackhammer

I had an original 715 zipper gun that was already in good condition when I got it 15 years ago. I used it when working on cars. Worked especially well when installing A-arm suspension bushings and cutting rivets in the radius arm bushing bracket on Ford trucks. Now I work with trailers. Last week I replaced half the floor rails, side panels and stanchions on a wrecked trailer, all riveted (hundreds). My original 715 is finally cracked. Although it still works, the barrel comes off too easily. I ordered these and finished the job. This one looks just as well built as my first one. I reckon it will last another 15-20 years. If you are thinking about buying this weapon, you need to understand that it is a long-barreled model that hits not so fast, but harder. If you need a little more control, you might prefer the short-barreled model. We use short barrel rivets to install buck rivets.

Pros
  • Longer stroke for more power
Cons
  • Quick start guide
