Two of them have lasted over 40 years

I've had 2 of these in 40 years and my second one is still working great. I have never used it professionally but I regularly cut my own hair and 3 boys and now my grandchildren about every 3 weeks. There are fewer haircuts these days, but I also make up for it by going through my very thick, wiry beard. The first lasted about 25 years and I'm already 15 with this one. When my youngest son's Conair cutting set broke in less than 2 years I bought him one for his birthday. With two sons and hopefully another soon, this one will save him a lot of time and money. I'd also like to point out that our family tends to have very thick hair and this one doesn't get bogged down like many of them do. It doesn't tug on my hair, my scalp, throw away combs, clog or just quit no matter what I throw at it. As mentioned, I also use it for general beard grooming, although its detailing abilities are low [not what it's intended for]. techniques and basic principles. You may be nervous the first few times, but remember that hair grows back quickly, so your mistakes are more forgivable than anything else you can screw up. And the time and savings are amazing. I would get all three of my boys and I done in under an hour, which is less time than you can get at the hairdresser's on a Saturday, not to mention haircut and travel time. Average $20 per haircut multiplied by 50 haircuts per year is about $1,000 a year that I don't spend.
