I absolutely love these pens!

Love, love, love these great pencils! Thought I'd risk buying these pens even though the price says they probably won't be good how wrong I was. This is after I have several different sets of watercolor pencils including some high end ones. I have Caran Dache Supracolor, Faber Castel Albrecht Dรผrer, Staedtler Karat Aquarelle, Derwent Inktense and they are among the best, the lines that appear when applying the paint disappear immediately when you add water, which is not the case with all watercolor pencils. , some lines will not disappear at all. There are many vibrant colors that work great both wet and dry, layer and blend well, and keep color for over 100 years. Some colors are very pale/pastel and when water is added they are hardly a color anymore but I suppose it has its place, if only as a base. There are also many unique colors that I don't have in any other set, one is called Mint and looks the same as Andes Creme de Menthe candies, the flamingo color is the color we always see on a real bird and matcha, same color like matcha green tea powder! It lies comfortably in the hand and can be perfectly sharpened. They are only semi-sharpened and I am told that when new they have a clear coat that needs to be removed by sharpening. They have a cream spoon I would say like Prismacolor Premiers and I use my Zig mixer, double ended and wet to apply the color by running the lead over the pencil and it was so much fun!

Pros
  • High pigmentation for bright colors. Sketching pencils have a soft, durable core of lightfast pigments that won't fade over time. 72 shades give unlimited creative freedom.
Cons
  • Big and bulky
