Review on AMI PARTS 279838 & 279816 Dryer Heating Element with Thermostat 3392519 Fuse Combo Pack - Compatible with Whirlpool Kenmore Electric Dryers by Eddie Pollard

Purchased after my Roper electric dryer stopped heating. After making sure I didn't have any blockages in the breather tube, I decided to move on to the next step, which was the thermal fuse, coil, and thermostat. This kit is an insanely low price for all you get. I paid 30 with shipping only for the fuse from the repair clinic. I can't confirm the durability of the product but I can say it solved my problem. The setup isn't too bad if you have some basic knowledge of mechanics. The instructions that come with the package are terrible but there are plenty of YouTube videos to guide you. The quality seems to be on par with the details I removed. I had to cut a wire and crimp the larger connector onto it (which came in the box) but if you have pliers with wire cutters it's pretty easy. The reel assembly required some tweaking to align the screw holes. You will most likely need to fit a new thermostat to keep it in place. There isn't much room for a pilot hole drill or self tapping screw so I just taped it on with double sided tape and it holds in place. Also, the bottom of the reel isn't twisted and it's insanely sharp. Wear gloves when installing to avoid cutting your hand. Overall this solved my problem and the dryer dries clothes better than it has in years. Recommend this product if you have trouble with dryer heater.
