I have made this and two more recently in comparable sizes from wool yarn and for price and effort this is the best deal. They're about the size of a softball - bigger than my fist, odorless, and compact in a reusable drawstring pouch. I've read and agree that on a typical load it takes at least four (six for large loads) to dissipate static effectively and dry faster, and I agree: only two static after the load has been fairly intense . Four helped a lot. A final word for the wise, I know there's a temptation to overdo it with essential oils, but really keep it to 2-4 drops per scoop if you want to avoid oil splatters on your clothes.
