Perfect fit for what I wanted

When I ordered these pants I (like others) struggled to find the right size. The size chart didn't fit. For example, for size M, the waist is 34.6 and the hip is 43.7. I know my 30" waist days are long gone, but I also know I wear 33" jeans now (depending on how much ice cream and beer I've had in a week. And no, I don't eat ice cream *with* my beer. Ugh). So I went ahead and bought a men's size M, assuming there would be plenty of room. There isn't, but that's okay. It got tight at the end, but it works for me. A little about me to help you compare. I'm 5ft 8in (almost 6ft in my heel days but that's another story). I weigh about 165 pounds. That's the problem. I've been told that I have, um, a pretty nice butt. In other words, it stands out well (by saying BACK here. stay with me). So there's some extra padding in there. I'm also fortunate to have semi-muscled thighs. The whole bottom half is actually pretty good (I won't mention the top half. I don't know what happened there, but it's not in the same league. Sigh). Overall, it's a snug fit for a man my size. No way would I put other layers underneath. So, if you are a bit like me in shape or plan to wear different leggings under your buttocks, choose large men's leggings. As for the material, quality, etc., I like them. I just got them, time will tell but I've been wearing them for a few days and they keep me warm (I'm in Florida haha) and they're comfortable. The elastic waist means I can have bad ice cream and beer days and still wear them (yes). Overall a good buy.
