Review on πŸ”Œ Electop 6 Way Blade Fuse Block Holder: Efficiently Protect Your Automotive Electrical System with LED Indicators and Damp-Proof Cover Sticker by Jeremy Rodriguez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Mine melted at 60A. Can't handle 100A.

Overall I like the functionality (LEDs that light up when a fuse blows, easy connection etc.). But internally it is NOT rated for 100A as advertised. I was running 63 amps when the positive lead started getting very hot and melting the plastic holding it in place. Both in liquid hot plastic and in wavy connector. The inner tire got so hot that the fuse near the positive pole also started to melt. At that time I measured the following with the built-in ammeter: Input at the positive pole: 63A Output at each of the three left connections: 21A each. The first picture shows 63A of current flowing through the main terminal. The second image shows a FLIR thermal image of an overheated area. You can see that the input pin area is very hot, and the closer each fuse is to this hot area, the hotter each fuse is. Overall I like this fuse panel, just don't expect it to come close to the advertised 100A. Based on my results here I suspect that even 50A is too much and the main terminal load rating will be closer to 30A. Instead I'll use the Blue Sea Systems unit, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000THQ0CQ. Yes, it's twice the price, but I'm sure it will handle the full rated load becomes.
