I liked to use the cinch XLR plug for my DJ system. However, upon arrival everything looked normal. I connected it to my DJ DMX controller and then to my mixer. I did not receive anything. I was going to pull the pin end off the RCA side and a part came loose. I plugged it back into another mixer to find out where the short came from. I got a weak signal, about 20% of normal gain, forcing me to turn it up to get the right levels. I took the cable to move it and voila! it flooded my speaker system with the remaining 80% and sent my speakers into protection mode! Red flashing lights are everywhere. I lowered the gain on the speaker and wiggled the cable a few more times. It was a cable and it was poorly made.
