Good Price Needs assembly and repairs

This is a well built recumbent bike for its money. It competes with bikes in the $800 to $1,000 price range. Some assembly is required, so mechanical skills are required to successfully assemble this bike. There are a few downsides to consider. The bike comes with two instructions: one for assembly and one for use. Both are useful but basic. The instruction manual needs some interpretation. The most significant problem concerns the assembly of the seat. First, some manipulation of the seat clamp mechanism must be done to allow it to slide on the seat track. Second, and most annoying, the seat moves from side to side during use instead of being fixed in place by the seat's cotton mechanism. Most advice advises you to call the company to fix the problem. However, if you have some mechanical skills, there is a relatively simple solution (see photo). 1. Remove the seat assembly. 2. Four rollers position the seat on the seat track. Each is secured with a chrome nut. 3. Remove the roller by loosening the nut (using the wrench and allen key that comes with the bike). 4. Install a 5/16โ€ washer onto the roller axle, then reinstall and tighten the roller. Add a washer to all four rollers. 5. Tighten all four nuts, one for each roller. The rollers are now snug against the rail. Once the seat clamp is in place you will find that there is very little lateral movement. Enjoy the ride.
