We have beagle dogs as pets and these collars are lifesavers. We are fortunate to live in a semi rural area so we can take our dogs for long off leash walks. Having electronic leashes gives us freedom, allows them to walk and have some freedom. We've worked hard on training and we only really need collars when they get a smell and 99% of the time a sound or vibration is all you need. I know many people object to "cruelty" because it would be more cruel to our dogs to confine them to a 6 foot leash or dog park. When used correctly, they are perfect for giving dogs freedom while still allowing you to control them for safety.
