This cleaver is well built, properly weighted, has a beautiful blade design and is very versatile. It fulfills all the functions of a standard cleaver and, for example, cuts up a large chicken breast or a whole chicken without any problems. But because the blade has a curve, it's also a great paring knife for slicing and slicing vegetables for soups, stir-fries, etc. It's packaged in a nice box that makes a great gift. This is my second Conall knife. The blade patterns match, although the surfaces of the two handles differ in color. I love them both and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one for myself or as a gift. Excellent knife, feels good in the hand, cuts well and is worth the money.
