Review on Highrock IR Infrared Remote Extender Receiver Emitter Repeater System with Power Adapter by Anthony Cornelius

After a week of use it does exactly what I wanted. My Sony audio system has an unusually narrow IR reception range; This renders the remotes unusable in most combined kitchen/dining/living rooms. When tested in an ideal location (but ugly due to the exposure) it was amazing and was able to pick up signals bouncing off a window on the opposite wall. When installed in an inconspicuous spot it's still very good and does what I wanted it to do. The only potential downside is that if you allow the receiving device to receive both the original signal from the remote and the relayed signal, they can interfere with each other. A simple solution is to put a relay diode just above the receiver on the device you want to control.
