Photo very misleading! There is a simple white elastic with a bow attached. It looks gaudy and is conveniently hidden in the photo, which annoys me. Love the color and material of the shoes. I just wish the elastic was closed as the loop doesn't actually close it like it does in the photo. These shoes are oversized. Size 12-18 months was loose (but still fit) for my large 12 month old with big chubby feet. That was a plus because I couldn't find a shoe that would fit my child who is between infant and toddler sizes. Very wide and easy to enter.
