I have always fed my pug Baba Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula (chicken brown rice flavor). As Babu got older, he switched to the senior version (same product with fewer calories). However, my dog got naughty while eating. The crumb may have injured his teeth as it was too hard. My only solution was to soak his food in water before he ate it. However, it turned into a huge mess and Babu was still picky at times. I found myself hand feeding him one at a time that I got very upset about it. I was told to try mixing his kibbles with a scoop of canned food as they were already wet and my dog would like it better. I tried and indeed Babu went crazy. No more fussing and fighting to get my dog to eat. It saved me so much time and effort. The best thing about these jars is that you don't need a can opener as they have a removable lid. If you only open and use one spoon, you can store the rest in the fridge. The food is a bit sticky and sticks to the spoon used. You can always get your dog to lick the spoon after eating! Overall I like this product. It gave me so much freedom. If your dog is a picky eater, you should try mixing this product in his food! You won't be disappointed with the results.
