Reduces unwanted noise, has lots of connections and surprised me how much better everything sounded when I powered my pedals with such high quality hardware. It's also a plus that most pedals don't get close to the 100mA that most ports have, so you can split each port. Such a small building block can easily power over 10 pedals and make them sound as good as possible. If you don't want to spend $300 on a Voodoo Labs Mondo to power a lot of pedals, that's fine, just get it and some splitter adapters that Voodoo Labs sells.
