I was looking for a quality cable with small connectors AND a small diameter flex cable. I found it in this product. Like most geeks who have bought dozens of plugs, cables, chargers, adapters, you name it. I had many comparisons. I'm a total Apple guy (no offense to droids) and as many Apple people know, Apple cables are very good but always seem to bend and fray at the ends of the device. So with this problem in mind I looked for alternative and better cables. The problem with most external drive cables is that the cable is thick and not very flexible. I work a lot in restaurants at small tables (I work best with people). The need for cables with a short bend radius is a good thing. This cable is very well made. Strain relief and connector as described (extra narrow connector and matching cable). The cord is smooth and the small diameter allows it to curl well in a small package. The plugs fit exactly - also good. I've never been particularly impressed with USB 3.0 Micro-B connectors. They seem to be short to get stuck in the drives. It's a nice fit (everyone stacks their wall adapter, drives and mouse on their laptop to move places only to have the drive cable come out?) Good. Come on folks! I know I'm not the only one this happens to! The surface of the cable connector is smooth and shiny. Branding makes the product look as good as it is made to look like. This cable and connectors are branded - a little extra that says "HEY, we're proud of our name and our products." Buy this cable when you need a reliable cable.
