Review on ๐Ÿ“ Onix Graphite Evoke Tear Drop Pickleball Paddle: A Winning Combination of Tear Drop Design, Polypropylene Core, and Graphite Face by Jamonte Hamilton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

dear paddle durability issue.

I really like this racquet. It has great control and plenty of power when you need it. However, they seem to have issues with durability. I've had three separate cases in the past 20 months. I play 3-4 times a week and get at least 5 good hard overheads every day. All three blades broke where the handle connects to the blade head. I'm assuming they can't handle repeated torque? I don't abuse my gear so it's unclear why this continues. I'll try again because I love them when they're together, but $80 gets hard to swallow. My Onix Z5 is still about 3 years later, so I'll have to use it until I decide to throw some cash at another challenge.

Pros
  • The teardrop shape allows you to focus your shots in the high power zone
Cons
  • Big and bulky
